Watlington House Project

Watlington House is the oldest secular building in Reading. The earliest sections are Medieval. The current building was built by Samuel Watlington, a successful Reading merchant in 1688 and the front was added in 1763.

This project, to enhance the setting of this lovely house is being led by Gaila Adair, a BGT member and trustee of the Watlington House Trust.

Milestone 2 – Formal Proposal

This will consist of a design for the garden and a planting plan as well as a maintenance strategy.

Milestone 3 -Implementation

This will be the implementation of the design which may be in phases. As this progresses there will be periodic reports and photos on the progress.
