Welcome to the website of Berkshire Gardens Trust
Our Chairman’s introduction
I would like to welcome you, as Chairman, to the Berkshire Gardens Trust web-site. We were the last of the County Gardens Trusts to be founded, and feel very proud of being ‘the last piece in the jig-saw’. We are proud too of the rich heritage of historic parks and gardens, which we have here in the Royal County of Berkshire, and we aim to identify, protect and promote them. As you consult our web-site, I hope you will enjoy reading about our many activities and interests and that you will decide to get involved with us.
Dr Christina Hill Williams DL
Chairman of Berkshire Gardens Trust
& High Sheriff 2009-2010, Royal County of Berkshire

Our logo for the Berkshire Gardens Trust is the Summer Snowflake or Leucojum aestivum. Known locally as the Loddon lily, it can be found in private gardens and also growing wild along the banks of the River Loddon.
The flower has been chosen as a symbol of our Trust’s perseverance. More
